Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC) was incorporated in the year 2002. It is the biggest Crop Insurance Company in the World, The motto of the company is to subserve the needs of farmers better and to move toward a sustainable actuarial regime.
The AIC performing for the implementation of National Agriculture Insurance Schemes (NAIS), which was implemented by General Insurance Corporation of India.
The vision & mission of Company is to provide insurance coverage and financial support to the farmers in the failure of any of the notified crop as a result of natural calamities, pests and diseases to restore their credit for ensuring season.
The company encourage farmers to adopt progressive farming practices, high value in past and higher technology that help farming to stabilize farm incomes. They provide comprehensive risk insurance for yield losses due to natural fire and lightning, storms, cyclone, typhoon, flood, landslide, drought, dry spells, pests, diseases, etc.
