Agriculture University Jodhpur Invites Application for 75 Assistant Professor Recruitment 2022

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor and Assistant Librarian on the pay of Academic Level-10 as per 7th pay commission in the University.

4. Qualification: 

A) Assistant Professor (Agricultural Engineering and Dairy technology) B.E./B. Tech./B.S. and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out by the University.

B) Desirable: Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

C) Assistant Professor (Other than Agricultural Engineering & Dairy -

a) Master Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade/OGPA/CGPA in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from Indian University(s), or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign University. A relaxation of 5% shall be given to SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy Layer), MBC (Non-creamy Layer) and Differently-abled (Divyangjan) candidates.

b) NET shall remain compulsory for all candidates. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided, it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations, 2009 and as amended by the ICAR/UGC from time to time (and also as per ICAR letter No. 23 (46) /2010-EQR (Edn.) dated 26th December, 2011, issued by ADG (EQR), and the candidate has at least Two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4.0 on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.

c) Further, the award of degrees to candidate registered for the M.Phil/ Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:

i) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only.

ii) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners.

iii) Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work.

iv) The candidate had presented two papers in seminars / conferences from out of his/her= Ph.D. work.

v) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.

d) NET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in the disciplines for which NET is not conducted. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out by the University.
