Educational Qualification:
Professor:
i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section-13 (3) of the Act.).
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e., MD in General Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Additional Professor:
i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section-13 (3) of the Act.).
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e., MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Associate Professor:
i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section-13 (3) of the Act.).
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e., MD in Anaesthesiology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Assistant Professor:
i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in Section-13 (3) of the Act.)
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e., MD/MS in Anatomy or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

Pay Scale:
INR
101500-220400/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 58 Years.

Selection Procedure: Personal interview / Online by video conferencing (In case, if huge number of applications are received for any of the discipline then a written exam will be conducted for shortlisting the candidates (OR) the Standing Selection Committee may shortlist candidates for the interview). The decision of the competent authority of AIIMS, Madurai is final.

Application Fee:
UR/OBC/EWSs - Rs.1,500 + Transaction Charges as applicable.
SC/ST - Rs.1,200 + Transaction Charges as applicable.
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) - Exempted from application fees.
