About Airport Health Organization
Airport Health Organization (AHO), NSC Bose International Airport, Kolkata comes under the Directorate General of Health Service, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
The prime objective of organization is to supervise services concerning Travelers, pieces of baggage, Cargo, Containers, Conveyances, Goods Postal Parcel and Human Remains at point of entry provided by the service providers including the conduct and inspections and medical examinations if necessary.
The Organization conducting various function like: Sanitary inspection and food hygiene of all sorts of food establishment, Flight Kitchens and Aircraft imparting training to immigration officials in relation to yellow fever & PHEIC,Disinsection & Disinfection of Aircraft as per WHO Guideline, Medical Examination of International Passengers, Clearance of Dead Bodies, Human Remains, Ashes brought from foreign countries, etc.
