AIIMS Raipur Invites Application for Research Scientist-B Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited for filling up of following post under the State Level Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for a period of one year purely on contractual basis as per below mentioned details: State-VRDL, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Raipur vacancy details:

Admin/State-VRDL/AIIMS.RPR/Contract/2022/ 

1. Designation: Research Scientist-B (Medical) Or Research Scientist-B (Non-Medical)

2. No. of Post: 01

3. Consolidated Fixed Salary (per month): Rs.56,000/- + HRA

4. Duration of Employment: One Year (12 Months) extendable to three years, depending on the candidate’s performance and budget grant from the funding agency.

5. Job Location: State Level VRDL, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Raipur.

6. Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in Microbiology with minimum one year R&D / teaching experience in Microbiology/Virology from recognized university.

7. Desirable:

i. Additional Post- doctoral research / training experience in viral outbreak diagnosis as evidenced by scientific publication.

ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications & DataManagement.

8. Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Science. or First class master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biochemistry or life science with the relevant subjects from a recognized university with minimum two (02) years research experience in the relevant subject after 1st class masters degree.

9. Desirable Qualifications:

i. Ph.D. candidates with research thesis work on infectious diseases supported by at least three original research publication in PUBMED indexed journal will be given preferences.

ii. Any Post -doctoral research / past experience in Viral infectious disease diagnosis, epidemiological studies will be given preference.

iii. Working experience of tissue culture / virus harvesting / cell line maintenance / viral gene expression study/ genetic basis of viral pathogenesis / viral diagnostic genetic marker.

iv. Knowledge of Computer Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Sequence phylogenetic analysis software, Business Intelligence tools, Data Management. Working knowledge of molecular bioinformatic tools like Bio edit, BLAST, Primer and Probe designing, phylogenetic analysis and sequence will be preferred.

Selection Procedure

1. The applications received will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Recruitments will be made through Interview and a written test will be conducted if the eligible candidates are more than 50 per post. Selection is based purely on merit basis.

2. The list of candidates found eligible will be displayed on college website by 1st February 2022.
