The position is funded under the ICMR project titled "Efficacy of Allogenic Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Reducing Fibrosis and Enhancing Muscle Regeneration in Patients with Oral Submucous Fibrosis: A Randomized Controlled Trial", supervised by Dr. Varun Surya, CDER, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: First-class M.Sc / M.Tech / M.E in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, or related fields with 3 years of research experience, OR a PhD in the relevant subject.
- Desirable Experience:
- Hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology laboratory techniques.
- Practical experience with MSC culture, characterization, and translational stem cell workflows.
- Proficiency in techniques such as flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, and ICC/IF.
- Experience working with human biological samples and clinical research documentation.
- Knowledge of GCLP/GLP and regulatory processes (ICMR, IEC, CTRI).
- Strong data analysis and scientific writing skills.
- Age Limit: The candidate's age, as on the last date of application submission (20 October 2026), must not exceed 40 years.
Salary Structure
The selected candidate will receive Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA, strictly as per ICMR and AIIMS guidelines. All salary and experience-related norms are governed by ICMR project guidelines. Note: As this is an ICMR-funded project-based contractual position, the salary and allowances are project-linked and do not carry the benefits of a regular AIIMS cadre appointment.
