Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed format to act as "Sagar Mitra" under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana on contractual basis in the coastal fishing villages of A&N Islands.
1. Post Name: Sagar Mitra
2. No of Positions: 70 (South Andaman - 29, N&M Andaman -- 24 & Nicobar - 17)
3. Location of engagement: All Coastal fishing villages of A&N Islands
4. Essential Qualification: Fisheries professional possessing a minimum Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science/ Marine Biology/ Zoology Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) is essential.
5. Eligibility criteria: Preferably a local resident of respective coastal village/ nearby village of age not more than 35 years, who has effective communication skills in local Ian ua e.
6. Consolidated Pay:
i. Performance incentive of Rs.10,000/- per month against a set of predetermined tasks.
ii. Additional performance incentives up to Rs.5,000/- in a month will be given against additional tasks entrusted from time-to-time.

1. Filled in application in the prescribed format should reach the Assistant Director of Fisheries of the respective Zonal Offices by hand or by post on or before 07/01/2022 by 3:00 PM in the address detailed below:-
i. South Andaman District : Assistant Director of Fisheries, Zonal Fisheries Office, South Andaman Phoenix Bay, Port Blair - 744101
ii. N&M Andaman District: Assistant Director of Fisheries, Zonal Fisheries Office (N&M Andaman), Danapur, Mayabunder - 744204.
iii. Nicobar District: Assistant Director of Fisheries, Zonal Fisheries Office (Nicobar), Headquarters, Car Nicobar - 744204
