Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.Sc, MCA, MS

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF-one) for a two-years SERB funded project entitled: “Supermassive black holes in AGN through spectro-polarimetry at 3.6m DOT using in-country developed spectrograph and camera”

3. Educational Qualifications : M.Sc./MS (Physics/Astronomy/equivalent)/ Integrated M.Sc. (Physics/Astronomy)/ B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science)/ Master’s in computer application (MCA) from a recognized Institution/University.

4. Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience of data reduction in optical photometry and spectroscopy and with good knowledge of programming (Python/IRAF) as required for this specific project.

5. Fellowship : Rs.31,000 + HRA as per norms (if hostel accommodation is not provided).

6. Duration : 1 year (extendable to one more year subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding)

Pay Scale: INR 31000(Per Month)

Age Limit: Not more than 28 years.
