About Army Institute of Nursing Guwahati

Established in 2006, the Army Institute of Nursing Guwahati ushered in a new era in the history of Nursing Education in the state. The Army Welfare Education Society took up this noble venture with a vision to serve the wards of serving and ex servicemen of the Indian Army with an annual intake capacity of 50 students for BSc Nursing course and 20 students for the MSc nursing course.The College was inaugurated on the 7th of August,2006 by General J J Singh,PVSM,AVSM,VSM,ADC, the then Chief of Army Staff(COAS). Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati is functioning under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) which is managing 134 Army Public Schools, 246 Army Pre Primary Schools and 12 Professional Colleges throughout the country.
