Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established in the year 1969. The university is located in Jorhat, Assam. It is headquartered at Borbheta. Assam Agricultural University has following colleges under it - College of Agriculture, College of Home Science, College of Veterinary Science (C.V.Sc.), College of Fishery Science, Biswanath College of Agriculture, Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science (L.C.V.Sc.). AAU is the only educational institution in the world to offer a comprehensive 4 year degree program in Agriculture with specialization in Tea Husbandry and Technology (THT).
