Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Cook

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 1 year working experience Certificate from a recognized/registered Cooking Institution or Hotel.

Eligibility for Barber

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 1 year experience Certificate from registered Saloon/Beauty Parlour.

Eligibility for Water Carrier

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC).

Eligibility for Dhobi

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 1 year experience Certificate from a registered Laundry/Dry Cleaner.

Eligibility for Cobbler

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Two years' experience in leather work from Central/State Government Institution.

Eligibility for Plumber

• Essential Qualification: Class VIII to HSSLC (Class XII) passed.
• Experience/Certificate: Minimum one year Certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institution/Vocational Institute.

Eligibility for Tailor

• Essential Qualification: H.S.L.C (Class-X) passed from Govt. recognized Board.
• Experience: Diploma of Tailoring from Institute recognized by Govt. of Assam. Trade skill including ability to operate sewing machines.

Eligibility for Dresser

• Essential Qualification: H.S.L.C (Class-X) passed from Govt. recognized Board.
• Experience: 2 years' experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute. Knowledge on sterilization, disinfection, and wound dressing.

Eligibility for Nurse

• Essential Qualification: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a Govt. Medical College.

Eligibility for Craft Instructor

• Essential Qualification: H.S.L.C (Class-X) passed from Govt. recognized Board.
• Experience: Certificate in Bamboo & Cane work/Tailoring/Weaving/Soap making from ITI or such other recognized Institute.

Eligibility for Craft Helper

• Essential Qualification: H.S.L.C (Class-X) passed from Govt. recognized Board.
• Experience: 1 month Certificate in Carpentry from Industrial Training Institute.

Eligibility for Yoga Instructor & Yoga Instructress

• Essential Qualification: HS Passed.
• Experience: Diploma in Yoga from a recognized Institute.

Eligibility for Pharmacist

• Essential Qualification: Diploma in Pharmacy from a Govt. Medical College.
• Experience: Registration under Assam Pharmacy Council.

General Eligibility & Age Limit

• Nationality: Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam (Proof of residence required except for SC/ST/OBC).
• Employment Exchange: Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Language: Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
• Age Limit (as on 01 Jan 2026):
  • Assam Commando Battalions: 18-25 years.
  • Assam Police & DGCD & CGHG: 18-40 years.
  • Tailor & Dresser: 18-40 years.
  • Nurse, Craft Instructor, Craft Helper, Yoga Instructor, Yoga Instructress, Pharmacist: 21-40 years.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST (P) and ST (H): 5 years; OBC/MOBC: 3 years.

Physical Standards

• Height (Male): 160 cm (Gen/OBC/SC/ST-P), 158 cm (ST-H).
• Height (Female): 150 cm (Gen/OBC/SC/ST-P), 147.5 cm (ST-H).
• Chest (Male): Min. 80 cm + 5 cm expansion (Gen/OBC/SC/ST-P), Min. 77 cm + 5 cm expansion (ST-H).
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
