An online walk-in-interview has been called on 06/01/2022 at 11 A.M. for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science, Assam University, Silchar for the Adhoc project entitled ‘Bioprospection of few selected ethnic medicinal plants(North-East India) for their Phyto-characterization and experimental validation of its tribal use towards the drug development against inflammatory pain disorders and rheumatoid arthritis” sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India. 1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow 2. Essential qualification : M. Pharm/ M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmacology/Natural Product/Pharmacognosy/Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/Quality assurance/other specialization with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination or M.Sc. in Bio-chemistry/Biotechnology/Zoology/Botany/Chemistry with CSIR-NET or equivalent examination. Experience in ethnic medicinal plants-based drug discovery preferable. 3. Tenure of the appointment : 3 years (from the start of the project 8/12/2021); initially for 1 year, likely to be extended depending on the performance of selected fellow and followed by satisfactory project assessment reports of funding agency experts 4. Monthly fellowship : 31,000/- +HRA 8%@2480/- 5. Terms and conditions : The service of the selected candidate will be as per the ICMR sanction letter terms & condition. The project is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
