Eligibility for Guest Faculty (History)

• Essential Qualification: A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Experience: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC (like SLET/SET).
  Exemption from NET/SLET/SET:
  1. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) and their amendments.
  2. Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, provided conditions (regular mode, evaluation by 2 examiners, open viva, publication of papers, etc.) are met and certified by the Registrar/Dean.
  3. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU).
• Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for Masters Programmes in disciplines where such tests are not conducted by UGC/CSIR.
