Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has invited online applications from Indian citizens for the positions of Registrar, Controller of Examination, and Medical Superintendent on a tenure basis. The recruitment drive is being conducted through the Samarth portal for a fixed tenure of up to 5 years or until the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Registrar

• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above OR 8 years in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor with experience in educational administration; OR Comparable experience in research establishments/other Institutions of higher education; OR 15 years of administrative experience, with 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post in Level 12 or higher.
• Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree, Degree in Management or LL.B., Knowledge of Computers, Experience of e-governance.

Eligibility for Controller of Examination

• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above OR with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other Institutions of higher education, OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post in Level 12 or higher.
• Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree, Degree in Management or LL.B., Knowledge of Computers, Experience of e-governance.

Eligibility for Medical Superintendent

• Essential Qualification: A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act). A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD/MS/DNB or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in any Medical Discipline OR Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from a recognized institution/university.
• Experience: 14 years teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the postgraduate qualification in the specialty OR Master's Degree in Hospital Administration with at least 7 years in the administration of a major hospital with 300 or more beds in a senior position. OR Ten years post-qualification experience in hospital administration in hospitals with 300 or more beds in a senior position (not below Pay Level -12).
• Desirable Qualification: Master’s degree in Hospital Administration OR a Post Graduate Degree recognized as equivalent to MHA by the NMC with experience in an NMC recognized medical college/institute.
