Educational Qualification & Age Limit (Post-wise)

  • Assistant Curator (Pay Level 6, Age Limit – 35 Years):
    • Master's degree in Museology/AIHC & Archaeology/History of Art/Archaeology/Heritage Management/Heritage Studies with minimum 55% marks or equivalent.
    • Diploma in Museology (except for Master's in Museology) OR at least one paper related to Exhibition Management/Museum Studies.
    • Desirable: Ph.D. or research publications; knowledge of Sanskrit/Pali/Arabic/Persian/Urdu.
  • Artist (Pay Level 6, Age Limit – 35 Years):
    • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts.
    • Five years' experience in traditional Indian painting (Rajasthani, Pahari, Mughal) or Commercial Art for museum work (designing exhibitions/posters).
  • Assistant Photographer (Pay Level 5, Age Limit – 32 Years):
    • Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with Photography, OR Bachelor's Degree with Diploma in Photography + 1 year professional experience in photography and digital image processing.
    • Desirable: Experience in photographing museum artefacts.
  • Junior Darner (Pay Level 3, Age Limit – 32 Years):
    • Intermediate.
    • Five years' experience in relevant areas in a museum.
  • Gallery Attendant (Pay Level 1, Age Limit – 32 Years):
    • Intermediate.

Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. Four Degree Colleges of the city are affiliated to the University. Bharat Kala Bhavan, the reputed museum of the university, is a treasure trove of rare collections. The 927 bed hospital of the University is equipped with all the modern a menities.
