Essential Qualification
- M.A. in English and Honour’s in Hindi, OR
- M.A. in Hindi and Honour’s in English, OR
- Law Graduate and Hindi Honour’s, OR
- M.A. in Hindi and Honour’s, OR
- M.A. in any subject and M.A. in Hindi, OR
- Honour’s in Hindi, OR
- M.A. in Hindi, OR
- B.A./B.Sc. and Honour’s in Hindi
- AND at least 3 years of experience working as a Translator in any Government, semi-Government organisation, or any reputed daily Newspaper.
Preference: Candidates with knowledge of proof reading and an inclination for literary work.

Salary Structure
Pay Scale: Level-6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (as per 7th CPC).
Probation: Selected candidates will be appointed on a regular basis with a probation period of 3 years.

Selection Process
- Written Test: OMR-based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 100 marks.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark per question; no negative marking.
- Topics Covered: English Grammar, Hindi Grammar, General Awareness, Computer Proficiency, Translation (Hindi to English & English to Hindi), Word Meaning (English to Hindi & Hindi to English).
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 40%
- ST/OBC: 35%
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

Bhakra Management Board (BMB) was established on 1st October 1967. The master plan was drawn to harness the potential of these rivers for providing assured irrigation, power generation and control on flood. The Beas Project is a Joint Venture of the state Punjab & Rajasthan. The Bhakra Management Board was renamed as Bhakra Beas Management Board on 15th May 1976, since then the (BBMB) is dedicated to the service of nation and engaged in regulating of the supply of water & power from Bhakra Nangal and Beas Project to the state of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal pradesh & Delhi.
BBMB performing and providing engineering and related technical and consultancy services in the various fields of Hydroelectric Power Project and Irrigation Project and to carry on all kinds of business related work independently or as a joint venture with Central / State / Public Sectors undertaking or establishment under the administrative control of Ministry of Power and the approval of Central Government.
