BHEL Project Engineer & Project Supervisor Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 20 Posts

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has released a notification for the recruitment of Project Engineer and Project Supervisor positions on a fixed tenure basis. This recruitment drive is for the Solar Business Division, offering a total of 20 vacancies. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Engineer (FTA Gr I)

• Essential: Full-Time Degree in Engineering/Technology or Post Graduate in relevant discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Instrumentation/Computer Science) from recognized Indian University/Institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in Design of control systems, embedded hardware & software systems, safety critical control systems (defence/railways/aerospace/automotive), communication protocols (UHF/LTE/GSM/GPS), micro-processor/FPGA/DSP, SIL Certification, RAMS, Testing & trouble shooting, quality control, erection, commissioning, field maintenance of electrical/electronic/signalling systems, Railway signalling systems (RRI/PI/EI/Kavach), software tools (Matlab, Simulink, QT), programming (C++, Java, .net, SQL).
• Desirable: Inspiring leadership qualities, in-depth knowledge of Railways Control & Signalling Systems, knowledge of Rail & Signalling IEC/EN standards, cyber security knowledge, system integration knowledge, problem solving/root cause analysis skills, expertise in SIL Systems, exposure to IEEE, ISO, IEC, EN/CENELEC standards.

Eligibility for Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III - Electrical)

• Essential: Full-Time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical from recognized Indian University/Institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience in installation & Commissioning of Photovoltaic systems, Power Plant Control, Monitoring & Associated system, Instrumentation & PLC system, Power electronic system (inverters, UPS drives, rectifiers), SCADA system/HVDC & Reactive power management, Switchyard substations.
• Desirable: Refer to official notification.

Eligibility for Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III - Civil)

• Essential: Full-Time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Civil from recognized Indian University/Institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience in Civil works associated with Solar Power Projects, Thermal power Projects, Infrastructure Projects, Industrial Construction Projects, Residential/Commercial Construction Projects.
• Desirable: Knowledge in Civil quality standards.

Eligibility for Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III - Mechanical)

• Essential: Full-Time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical from recognized Indian University/Institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience in Mechanical Installation works associated with Solar Power Projects, Thermal power Projects, Infrastructure Projects, Industrial Projects.
• Desirable: Experience in erection of tracker based solar PV plant.

Eligibility for Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III - Safety)

• Essential: Full-Time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical from recognized Indian University/Institute with Safety certification (NEBOSH/IOSH/OHSAS/Industrial Safety) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience of which 1 year experience in Industrial/Projects safety works.
• Desirable: Experience in construction or infrastructure works.

Eligibility for Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III-Quality)

Salary / Stipend

• Project Engineer (FTA Gr I): Rs. 95,000/- per month in the first year, Rs. 1,00,000/- per month in the second year (All-inclusive Consolidated Remuneration).
• Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III): Rs. 45,000/- per month in the first year, Rs. 48,000/- per month in the second year (All-inclusive Consolidated Remuneration).
• Medical Benefits: Reimbursement for Mediclaim Policy premium up to Rs. 5 lakhs for Self, Spouse and dependent Children.
• Insurance: Covered under Group Personal Accident Policy.

Age Limit

• Project Engineer (FTA Gr I): Maximum 35 years.
• Project Supervisor (FTA Gr III): Maximum 32 years.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years (Max 40/37 years)
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years (Max 38/35 years)
  • PWD: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt rules
  • J&K domiciled: 5 years

Selection Process

The selection process involves screening of applications based on eligibility. Eligible candidates will be called for a Personal Interview. In case of a large number of applications, shortlisting will be done in a 1:10 ratio based on merit in the qualifying examination (Degree/Diploma). Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email. Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination.
