Separate applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Third Member, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum at each existing electricity Supply Circle level. The desired educational qualification, experience, other terms and conditions for the post and the format of Application Form are available on the website of the Commission www.berc.co.in.
1. Post Name: Third Member
2. Qualification: The Third Member should be a representative of a registered society/NGO/consumer organization having one of its main objectives as consumer protection in electricity related matters with at least 5 (five) years of standing or alternatively the representing member should have five years of experience in consumer-related matters or a person of stature and repute having at least five years exposure and experience of consumer affair in electricity related matters and the minimum qualification shall be graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
3. Provided that, a person applying for the post of Independent Member of the Forum shall not have been in the employment in any capacity under, or agency of, the Distribution Licensee for a minimum period of three (3) years prior to being appointed Independent Member of the Forum.
4. The sitting fees, honorarium and/ or other allowances (Collectively “Remunerations”) payable to the Third Member shall be Rs. 45,000/- (Rs. Forty five thousand) per month by the licensee with the approval of the Commission
Pay Scale: INR 45000(Per Month)
Age Limit: The minimum age limit for applicant for the post of Third Member shall be 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
Selection Procedure
The Commission reserves the right to cancel the selection process at any stage without assigning any reason

1. The last date for filing application is 09.03.2022 by 5.30 PM.
2. The candidate who fulfils the above criteria and is desirous of appointment on the said post, must submit application addressed to the Secretary, Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission, Vidyut Bhawan-II, J.L. Nehru Marg (Bailey Road), Patna-800021 by registered / speed post so as to reach by 5:30 PM on 09.03.2022
3. Applications received after the due date i.e 09.03.2022 or incomplete applications shall not be entertained
