Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) Invites Application for Senior Program Officer/ Program Manager Recruitment 2022

The Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India is supporting the implementation of the Ind-CEPI, which is “Epidemic preparedness through rapid vaccine development: Support of Indian vaccine development aligned with the global initiative of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI)”at Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI).

1. Post Name: Senior Program Officer/ Program Manager

2. No of Post: 01

3. Consolidated Remuneration : Between Rs.90,000/- to Rs.2,70,000/- Lump sum per month for Program Manager & Between Rs.1,10,000 to Rs.3,00,000 lumpsum per month for Sr. Program Manager, depending on qualifications and experience.

4 . Tenure: The engagement on the position is for a period of three [3] years or co-terminus with the Project, whichever is earlier. The contract shall be renewed depending upon the extension of the Project or the need for continuance of service

5. Essential: Ph.D. / equivalent in Life Science / Biological Sciences with broad and deep knowledge in project management in the areas of health care. 6 to 10 years of experience in academic, industry or similar position

6. Desirable: Experience in Project management, strong planning and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Experience in technology assessment .Technical Proficiency in relevant areas like Vaccines, Biotherapeutics, and Medical Devices are preferred

7. Experience: 6 to 8 years for Program Manager and 10 to 12 years for Sr. Program Manager

3. Consolidated Remuneration: Between Rs.75,000/- to Rs.2,40,000/- Lump sum per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

4 . Tenure: The engagement on the position is for a period of three [3] years or co-terminus with the Project, whichever is earlier. The contract shall be renewed depending upon the extension of the Project or the need for continuance of service

5. Essential: B.Tech / M.Sc in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Pharma / Agri / Plant Sciences from a recognized Institute

6. Desirable: Ph.D in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Pharma / Agri / Plant Sciences / M.Tech from a recognized Institute.

7. Experience: 4 to 5 yrs

8. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:  Working with Legal and Finance to get all necessary Contracts and Agreements ready. Coordinating with stakeholders involved in Ind-CEPI management. Coordination and administration of all aspects of new and ongoing projects including planning and implementation. Ensure timely execution of all activities.
