Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Matric pass from a recognized board.
• Other Requirements:
  • Must be an individual (male/female/transgender) who takes interest in uplifting weaker and marginalized sections of society without financial gain.
  • Must be a permanent resident of Sheohar district.
  • Physically and mentally healthy with good moral character, and no pending criminal cases or prior convictions by any court.
  • Candidates previously selected as Para Legal Volunteers can re-apply and will be given preference.
  • Eligible individuals include retired teachers, retired government servants, senior citizens, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students, members of non-governmental organizations and clubs, self-help groups, Jeevika, and any other person (excluding practicing advocates).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Screening: Application screening and document verification by the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Sheohar.
• Interview: Personal interview for shortlisted candidates. The interview schedule and notifications will be updated on the Civil Court Sheohar website. Preference will be given to previously selected para legal volunteers.
• Travel Allowance (TA/DA): No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview or joining the voluntary service.
