CDFD, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology invites applications from Indian nationals for the following purely temporary vacancy in the project titled “Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 in India: Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG)”.

3. Essential qualifications and Experience: M Sc Minimum 2 years research experience in Life Sciences after M Sc
4. Desirable Qualifications : Experience in RNA Extraction, Real Time PCR Experience of working in Molecular Biology Laboratory
5. Nature of Duty: Candidate will be expected to work in SARS-COV-2 analysis laboratory involving work related to RNA extraction from virus, Real Time PCR and result analysis.
6.Emoluments: 35,000/- + HRA

Age Limit: 35 Years
Selection Procedure
1. Mere fulfilling the minimum qualifications will not entitle the candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Director, CDFD will be final in this respect and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
2. Any of the selected individuals may from time to time be assigned to perform any other duties commensurate with their qualifications, by the Director, CDFD.

The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is an autonomous organization funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CDFD receives funding also from other agencies on specific collaborative projects. CDFD is recognized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Regional Centre for Biotechnology and University of Hyderabad for a Ph.D. programme in Life Sciences. The Centre is equipped with world class state-of-the-art instrumentation and computing infrastructure to facilitate research and development in frontier areas of modern biology.
