The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is a premier autonomous R & D Institute under the Societies Act, funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, that has been established to provide services and to undertake R & D in DNA Fingerprinting, DNA Diagnostics and other areas of modern biology. Advt. No. CDFD/EMPC/4/OCT’ 21 1. Name of the Post: Computer Programmer Grade A 2. No of Post: 01 3. Emoluments: Rs.30,000/- p.m. (Consolidated) 4. Essential qualifications: Masters Degree in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science from a recognized Institution / University OR B.E / B.Tech in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology from a recognized Institution / University 5. Desirable Qualifications: a. 2 years experience in computer programming b. Knowledge of C, C++, Perl, Python, HTML c. Experience in webpage development

Selection Procedure
Mere fulfilling minimum qualification will not entitle a candidate for being called for test / interview. The applications will be screened by a committee and candidates found eligible as per criteria will be called for test / interview. The decision of the Controlling Authority will be final in this respect.

The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) is an autonomous organization funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CDFD receives funding also from other agencies on specific collaborative projects. CDFD is recognized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Regional Centre for Biotechnology and University of Hyderabad for a Ph.D. programme in Life Sciences. The Centre is equipped with world class state-of-the-art instrumentation and computing infrastructure to facilitate research and development in frontier areas of modern biology.
