Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Masters in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Genetics or a related subject from a recognized University, AND at least 2 years of R&D experience in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations, with National Eligibility Test qualification (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/assistant professorship, ICAR/ICMR NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments such as DBT/DST)
• OR Masters / Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology (Bioengineering or Biotechnology) from a recognized University
• Desirable Experience: Experience in recombinant DNA techniques, enzyme assays, enzyme purification and characterization, oligosaccharide identification, and structural elucidation using analytical techniques.

CSIR Project Staff Tenure Restriction: As per CSIR Office Memorandum dated 02.09.2024, the total engagement period of a Project Staff member across different CSIR labs shall not exceed 6 years. Candidates who have already completed 6 years of project staff tenure in any CSIR Lab/Institute are not eligible.
