Recruitment Overview

The ICAR - Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai has released a notification for a Walk-in-Interview to engage 01 (One) post of Young Professional-I (YP-1). This recruitment is on a contractual basis under the ICAR-IIFSR National Mission on Natural Farming. The project focuses on "Eco-Friendly Fish Production Using Natural Farming and Circular Economy Approaches: Towards Improving Income and Nutritional Security."

Recruitment Type: Direct Recruitment based on Walk-in Interview (Merit and Performance-based).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Essential: Post-graduate in Biological Science.
• Preferred Specializations: M.F.Sc in Fish Nutrition & Feed technology, Biochemistry & Physiology, Fish Biotechnology, Aquatic animal health, Aquatic environment management and Aquaculture, Marine Biology.
• Academic Requirement: 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Master's degree.
• Desirable: Hands-on experience in Aquaculture, fish nutrition, Fish Physiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and data interpretation.

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India (GOI) norms for reserved categories and previous employment.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Academic Performance: Evaluation of qualifications and marks.
2. Experience: Field experience in fisheries sciences.
3. Interview Performance: Performance during the walk-in interview.

Note: Only candidates who fulfill all eligibility conditions will be allowed to appear for the interview.

Terms and Conditions

• The position is purely temporary and contractual.
• Tenure and service conditions are governed by ICAR guidelines.
• Place of work is ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai; field visits are required.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• The decision of the Director, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai will be final and binding.
