Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or Institute with certificate of competency as Skipper (Fishing Vessel) or Mate (Foreign Going) or Master (Near Coast Vessel) issued by the Merchantile Marine Department and possessing live years experience on board a Fishing Vessel or Bachelor's degree in Fishery Science (Nautical Science) of a recognized university or institute with five years experience in the field of fisheries on board a fishing vessel or fisheries development activities.

Pay Scale:
INR
67700-208700/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (or CIFNET) was formerly known as the Central Institute of Fisheries Operatives (CIFO). CIFNET is a marine studies centre located at Kochi. It was set up to aid research and development in the field.The institute was established in the year 1963 and is affiliated with the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). It offers bachelor's degree in both fisheries and nautical science. It has two other units in Visakhapatnam and Chennai. The institute also offers two diploma courses. The diploma courses are in vessel navigation and marine fitting. It also conducts refresher courses for students the MMD exam. The institute has its headquarters in Kochi. Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training recruitment offers great career opportunities for several posts such as Bosun, Turner, Fitter, Junior Deckhand, Senior Deckhand, Net Maker, Mate, Staff Car Driver, Wireless Supervisor, Turner, Instructor (Fishing Technology), Topaz.
