Educational Qualification:
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) with three years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in Level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400) of the Pay Matrix (i.e. in the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600) or equivalent in the parent Cadre or Department; and
(b) possessing three years experience in administration, accounts and establishment work in a supervisory capacity in the parent cadre or department.

Pay Scale:
INR
15600-39100/- Per Month

Age Limit: Maximum 56 Years.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (or CIFNET) was formerly known as the Central Institute of Fisheries Operatives (CIFO). CIFNET is a marine studies centre located at Kochi. It was set up to aid research and development in the field.The institute was established in the year 1963 and is affiliated with the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). It offers bachelor's degree in both fisheries and nautical science. It has two other units in Visakhapatnam and Chennai. The institute also offers two diploma courses. The diploma courses are in vessel navigation and marine fitting. It also conducts refresher courses for students the MMD exam. The institute has its headquarters in Kochi.
