Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Assistant-II (P-2601)

  • Essential: 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
  • Desirable: Experience in Electrical Vehicle prototype development, PLC and Instruments, tractor testing, data collections.

Eligibility for Project Assistant-II (P-2602)

  • Essential: 3 Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technology.
  • Desirable: Hands-on experience on development, assembly and integration of various small mechanical, electronic, electrical components of vehicle/mechanical systems. Capability to develop manufacturing drawings using Auto CAD software and mechanical system integration. Field data survey & collection.

Eligibility for Project Technical Support-III (P-2603)

  • Essential: Four Years Graduate degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/Production/Mechanical Design/Aeronautical/Mechatronics.
  • Desirable: Experience and Knowledge in ANY ONE or more of the following: Design and analysis of Mechanisms and Machines, Dynamics and Control of Mechanical systems/Multibody Dynamics (ADAMS/ANSYS Motion etc), Solid mechanics, Mechanics of composites, Solid Modeling Software (any of Solidworks/CATIA/Inventor/Siemens NX etc.), Finite Element Method (ANSYS Mechanical/Abaqus/Marc etc.), Programming in Matlab/C++, Physics based/Robot simulation software (Gazebo/MuJoCo/PyBullet etc.), Basics of instrumentation, data acquisition, experiment design, sensing and actuation principles.

Eligibility for Project Associate-I (P-2604)

  • Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics from a recognized University.
  • Desirable: Background knowledge of energy materials and carbonaceous materials.

Eligibility for Project Associate-II (P-2605)

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/Civil/Applied Mechanics/Aerospace (OR) Masters/Integrated Masters in the same fields. (2 years experience required for Bachelor's holders).
  • Desirable: Finite Element Modeling and Analysis, Dynamic Modeling of Multibody systems, Mathematical Programming.

Eligibility for Project Associate-II (P-2606)

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics/Production/Mechanical Design/Robotics & Mechatronics/Engineering Design (OR) Masters/Integrated Masters in the same fields. (2 years experience required for Bachelor's holders).
  • Desirable: Conversant in product modelling and engineering softwares like SolidWorks, Ansys FEM/Catia/ProE, Cradle CFD/Siemens NX and dynamic simulation cum analysis software like ADAMs. Knowledge of Design & Analysis, Structural/Stress & Stability Analysis, Bulking Analysis of pressure enclosures or other structures.

Eligibility for Project Associate-II (P-2607)

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Electrical (OR) Masters/Integrated Masters in the same fields. (2 years experience required for Bachelor's holders).
  • Desirable: Knowledge in Signal Processing, Analog & Digital Electronics. Handling of SBC interface and motor control device and communication using Arduino/Raspberry Pi micro controller. Knowledge of algorithms development and implementation real-time project. Proficiency in Python, Matlab, C++ Programming, HTML. Development of interface with different sensors/instruments and system Integration, use of third-party DLLs and other drivers etc. Field data survey & collection. Technical Report writing.

Eligibility for Project Associate-II (P-2608)

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics/Electronics and Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical & Electronics/Control System/Information Technology (OR) Masters/Integrated Masters in the same fields. (2 years experience required for Bachelor's holders).
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Signal Processing, PCB Design, Electric motors, Power Electronic Converters, Motor controllers, Programming using Python/C++, MATLAB/SIMULINK based simulation.

About Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute

In India, mechanical engineering technology has accounted for nearly half of the total technology imported. In terms of products, nearly one third of the value of total imports is for mechanical engineering equipment. In order to develop indigenously mechanical engineering technology for the industries so that R&D can play a key role in self-reliance, the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute at Durgapur, West Bengal was established in February 1958 with the specific task of development of mechanical engineering technology.
