Pay Level Breakdown:

The remuneration is applicable for engagement of a minimum of 6 hours per day for 6 days in a week. Rates will be pro-rated if engagement hours differ. No HRA is admissible.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Nationality
- Candidates must be Indian nationals.
Educational & Sports Qualification Required
- Diploma or higher degree in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), OR
- Medal winner / Participant in National Sports Events/Games representing an Indian State, OR
- Medal winner / Participant in International Sports Events/Games representing India.
Candidates must preferably have 15+ years of coaching experience in the respective sports discipline, with any specific certification or licence required in the identified sports discipline.
Age Limit
- Upper age limit: 64 years as on 09 October 2026
- Maximum tenure of engagement is subject to an upper age limit of 65 years
- A Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner is mandatory before engagement
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Walk-in Interview: Candidates will be assessed through a direct walk-in interview scheduled on 27 October 2026 between 10:00 AM and 01:00 PM at the Centre for L&D, Durgapur Steel Plant.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner/doctor before engagement.

Important Instructions
- The engagement is purely temporary on a tenure basis for one year, extendable twice up to a maximum of three years.
- Ex-employees separated through Voluntary Retirement are not eligible for engagement.
- Selected coaches must render services in emergent conditions beyond normal working hours without extra remuneration.
- Income Tax/GST will be dealt with as per applicable provisions under the Income Tax/GST Act.
- Engagement can be terminated by either party with one month's notice, or forthwith under conditions such as poor performance, medical unfitness, or moral turpitude.
- Ex-employees of SAIL may retain Company accommodation; other ex-employees may be provided 2 BR or equivalent accommodation on a payment basis subject to availability.
