Number of Vacancy: 02 Posts
Educational Qualification: Postgraduate in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Plant Molecular Biology / Plant Biochemistry / Plant Physiology / Molecular Breeding from recognized Institute / University.
Desirable Qualifications:
a. must have practical experience in CRISPR gene editing, gene cloning, transformation and plant tissue culture techniques.
b. can independently handle the genome editing work on potato in the lab.
c. must have good publications.
Pay Scale:
INR
42000/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 45 Years.

Interested and eligible candidates may download the prescribed proforma of application from Institute website (https://cpri.icar.gov.in) and submit application along with all enclosures {i.e. self attested copies of: 1) educational qualification from 10th onwards, 2) copies of relevant experience, 3) publications, 4) copy of residential proof & identity proof (preferably Aadhar Card etc.)} to the Asstt. Admn. Officer (Establishment), ICAR-CPRI, Shimla in-person or by post on or before 21.03.2025 (09:30 AM). In absence of Certificates and Degree (Provisional/Original), applications will not be considered at any level.

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI) was established during August 1949 at Patna (Bihar, India) on the recommendation of the Agricultural Advisor to the Government of India, Sir Herbert Steward under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The institute was later on, shifted to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh in 1956 in order to facilitate hybridization work in potato breeding and maintain seed potato health. It was transferred to the ICAR in April 1966.
