Educational Qualification:
Consultant: Bachelor's Degree with five year’s service rendered at Level 10 in the area of Audit and Accounts. OR Retired officers from Audit & Accounts Service OR other similar organized Accounts Services in Central/State Governments OR Ministries/Departments of Government or CPSUs in the Area of Audit & Accounts.
Officer on Special Duty: Masters's degree with 55% marks from a recognized University with 15 years of experience of Academic Administration in a Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) at senior level.

The President of India gave assent to The Central Universities Act, 2009 that envisages establishing and incorporating universities for teaching and research in the various states.
The Central University of Jharkhand came into being under this Act on 1st of March, 2009. The Visitor of the Central University of Jharkhand, Her Excellency, Shrimati Pratibha Devisingh Patil, appointed Dr. Darlando T.
