Centre For Excellence in Basic Sciences (CBS) Invites Application for Director Recruitment 2023 DAE is looking for a suitably qualified person for the position of Director for UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai to head the institute. The Director will be an outstanding scientist with a broad vision for the management of an institute of excellence.
Applications are invited for appointment to the post of Director, UM-DAE CEBS. Director will be both the academic as well as the administrative head of the Centre, and is expected to be a person with national and international recognition. The candidate should have proven teaching and research experience, as well as administrative abilities with the leadership qualities required to head an academic institution. The candidate should possess a Ph.D. degree in any branch of science with an outstanding academic record. It is mandatory to have a minimum of 10 years experience as Professor or equivalent in a reputed educational establishment.

The Centre for Excellence in Basic Science (CEBS) Mumbai was established in 17th September 2007. It is an autonomous institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
The center offering high quality undergraduate teaching embedded in a good environment. They offer integrated M.Sc Program in the Basic Science for students in discipline of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Humanitites, etc.
For all round development they promote healthy interaction among students. The institute conducting research activities in discipline of Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Life Science, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics, Archaeo-Astronomy, Biophysics, Genetics Cell, and Developmental Biology, etc.
