Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Passed 12th (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (50% marks is not required for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and candidates possessing higher qualification).
• Professional Qualification: Possession of Degree/Diploma certificate in specified Cultural discipline from a government recognized institution.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in the relevant field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
• Awards/Prizes won at National level.
• Proficiency in performing Drama including Dance & Proficiency in percussion will be added qualification. Preference will be given to candidates possessing both qualifications.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

• UR: 18 to 30 years
• OBC: 18 to 33 years
• SC/ST: 18 to 35 years
• Widows/Divorced women: Max age 35 years (UR), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST).
• Ex-Servicemen: Upper age limit relaxable up to the extent of service rendered in Defense forces plus 3 years.

Payment Mode: Through Bank Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of "PFA, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works" payable at Chittaranjan.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Written Test: Objective type (50 Marks).
2. Practical Demonstration: Assessment of talent in relevant Cultural discipline (35 Marks).
3. Assessment of Testimonials/Prizes: (15 Marks).

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must obtain at least 40% marks in the Written Test to be eligible for the Practical Demonstration stage.
