Applications arc invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of I(onc) tenure post of Contractual (Grade - II) Specialist in Medical Oncology (Hemato-OncoIogy) in thc following disciplines of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, 2nd Campus Newtown, Kolkata on 44 days basis. Contractual (Grade — II) Specialist of Post I(One) 1. Name of the Post: Contractual Specialist 2. No of Post: 01 3. Essential Qualification: MCI Recognind DM/DNB/ or equivalent qualification in Medical Oncology or DM/DNB/ or equivalent in Clinical Hematology/ or DM or equivalent in Pediatric Oncology' Or MD/DNB/equivalent PG degree in Radiotherapy / General Medicine/ Pediatrics with 3 years post PG experience in Medical/ Pediatric/ Haemato Oncology. (Desirable: Experience in Teaching Hospital (either running DM/ DNB or equivalent course in Medical ()ncology/ Clinical Hematolop/ Pediatric or a Cancer wing in a Medical College/ Tertiary Comprehensive Cancer Centre/ Regional Cancer Centre). 4. Desirable: Additional Training or Fellowship in the specialty/ Research Publications in indexed journals/ Conference presentations in International/ National/ State Conferences. 5. Tenure: Initially for a period of 44 days. Which can bc extended on less than 45 days basis subject to satisfactory performance and conduct report from com tent Authority. 6. Pay: Consolidated salary as per norms.

During that time with the help and support of Dr. B.C. Roy an eminet physician and then chief minister of West Bengal, the foundation of the present day Chittaranjan Cancer Hospital(CCH) was laid.The hospital was formally inaugurated by Prof. Madam J.Curie in January 2,1950 and named after Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, as a tribute to and in the acknowledgment of the enormous donation of his land and property for the cause.Initially this was a Cancer treatment centre, which gradually expanded its activities in basic and clinical research with the assistance from goverment funding organzations.This eventually led to the founding of the Chittaranjan National Cancer Research Centre (CNCRC),funded by the Goverment of India in 1957, which was committed to basic research on cancer.
