🏛️ Organization Overview

Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) is one of the oldest and most respected cancer centers in India. CNCI operates across two major campuses: the historic Hazra Campus in South Kolkata and the state-of-the-art New Town Campus, which features advanced radiotherapy and surgical oncology facilities.

Strategically, CNCI is vital for providing affordable, high-quality oncology care to millions. For professionals, it offers a multidisciplinary environment where clinical practice meets cutting-edge molecular research. The institute is known for its intensive fellowship programs and its role as a teaching hospital, making it a cornerstone for medical education in oncology.

  2. Nursing & Group B/C Technical: Usually through a centralized written exam (like AIIMS-led NORCET for nurses) or an institute-specific Computer Based Test (CBT).
  3. Research & Project Posts: Typically conducted through Walk-in Interviews or virtual interviews after an initial screening of applications sent via email.8
  4. Document Verification: Final selection is always subject to the verification of original degree certificates, registration with the Medical/Nursing Council, and experience letters.

💡 Expert Tips: How to Crack CNCI Exams

1. Align with Central Government Standards

For medical and nursing roles, focus on the syllabus prescribed for National-level exams like AIIMS/PGIMER. For administrative roles, command over the Central Secretariat Manual and Financial Rules (GFR) is highly advantageous during interviews.

2. Research-Oriented Preparation

If applying for scientific posts, be prepared to discuss your previous research work in detail. CNCI interview panels look for candidates who understand molecular biology in the specific context of human cancer.

3. Practical Knowledge for Technicians

For technical assistant roles, the "Skill Test" is crucial. Candidates should be familiar with laboratory safety, biopsy processing, and basic troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment.
