Applications are invited from eligible candidates with Bio-data and photocopies of testimonials for a post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored rcrnotc sensing and GIS based Research Project under Department of Science and Technology (DST) entitled as "Modeling tropospheric ozone and its precursor pollutants N02 and HCHO over South Asia" under the supervision of Dr. Ujjal Deka Baruah, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Cotton University.

1. Position: Junior Research Fellow
2. Qualification: M.A/ M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science/Data Science/ Physics/ Electronic/ GIS & Remote Sensing with at least 50% mark. Preferable as below :
a) Completed additional course on GIS and Remote Sensing from recognised Institute only
b) Sound have knowledge in Remote Sensing and GIS (Arc Map, ERDAS Imagine, preferebly programming language like R, Python)
c) Basic knowledge of Statistics (Trend estimate, Logistic, Probit models, and forecasting techniques. etc. in SPSS, R software)
d) Must be a disciplined, highly motivated, and hard working
e) Proof of publication (if any) in reputed journals bearing Thomson Reuter Impact Factor
3. Salary: Rs. 31,000/- and 16% HRA per month (for and 2nd year) Rs. 35,000/- and 16% HRA per month for six months (for 3rd year)

Selection Procedure
