Vacancy_ Notice for Sr. Medical Officer (Allopathic) on deputation basis
DTC invites applications for filling up 02 vacant sanctioned posts of Sr. Medical Officers (Grade Pay 6600/- and pay matrix level 11 in P.C.) on deputation basis. Maximum age limit for the post is not exceeding 56 years on the closing date of receipt of applications initially for a period of 03 year and further extendable based on the performance of the Sr. Medical Officers and requirement of DTC:-
1. Position: Senior Medical Officer
2. No of Post: 02
3. Qualification: MBBS or equivalent degree of a recognized Indian university or equivalent foreign qualifications. 10 years working experience.
4. Desirable: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in Medicine or Surgery Working experience of a recognized Government Hospital.
5. Transfer on deputation/Transfer: Officer under the Central/ State Govt./UT Govt./Public Sector Undertaking including Central Police Organization/State Police Organization etc. with requirement laid down as above and below:
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis. Or
(ii) With five years regular service in the Pay band of Rs.15600-39100+GPofRs.5400/-.

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is the main public transport operator of Delhi. It operates buses on many bus routes, including the mudrika (the Ring Road Service) and Bahri Mudrika (the Outer Ring Road Service). It is one of the largest CNG-powered bus service operator in the world.
The Delhi Transport Corporation was established in May 1948 by the Indian government for local bus services when they found out the incumbent service provider Gwalior and Northern India Transport Company Ltd. was inadequate in serving the purpose. It was then named "Delhi Transport Service". It was again constituted as "Delhi Road Transport Authority" under the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950. This Authority became an undertaking of Municipal Corporation of Delhi by an Act of Parliament in April 1958.In 1971, on a recommendation from the Indian government took over the assets and liabilities from the erstwhile Delhi Transport Undertaking (DTU) operated by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi until 2 November 1971. Delhi Transport Corporation which was under administrative control of the Indian government was transferred to the Government of National Capital Territory, Delhi.
