DTC invites online applications for filling up the 08 vacancies for the post of Section Officer (Civil) and 02 vacancies for the post of Section Officer (Electrical) for engagement on contract basis for a period of one year initially after completing pre-recruitment formalities for the post subject to extendable on the basis of their performance during the contract period and requirement of the Corporation, the terms and conditions/eligibility criteria as under:
1. Position: Section Officer (Civil)
2. No of Post: 08
3. Essential: 3 years diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized instituted and one year experience or one year training as a Diploma holder Apprentice.
1. Position: Section Officer (Electrical)
2. No of Post: 02
3. Essential: 3 years diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized instituted and atleast one year experience of Electrical installation in building
4. Consolidated monthly remuneration Rs. 35,400/- +@31% D.A. Rs. 10,974/- = Rs.46374/- as on date and 12% P.F. i.e. Rs. 5,565/- to be remitted by DTC as employer share.)
5. Duty Time: - Eight and half hours daily except Sunday and GH.

Estate, New Delhi-110002 on the prescribed application performa attached herewith applications will be accepted
2. Applications received by post/by hand/by mail etc. will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected
3. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard
4. The last date for submission of online applications for the post of Section Officer (Civil) or Section Officer (Electrical) on contract basis is 11-05-2022. after which the link will be disabled and only on line
5. The opening date for submission of online application is 12-04-2022
6. The closing date for submission of online application is 11-05-2022 (11.59 PM) after which the link will be disabled.

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is the main public transport operator of Delhi. It operates buses on many bus routes, including the mudrika (the Ring Road Service) and Bahri Mudrika (the Outer Ring Road Service). It is one of the largest CNG-powered bus service operator in the world.
The Delhi Transport Corporation was established in May 1948 by the Indian government for local bus services when they found out the incumbent service provider Gwalior and Northern India Transport Company Ltd. was inadequate in serving the purpose. It was then named "Delhi Transport Service". It was again constituted as "Delhi Road Transport Authority" under the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950. This Authority became an undertaking of Municipal Corporation of Delhi by an Act of Parliament in April 1958.In 1971, on a recommendation from the Indian government took over the assets and liabilities from the erstwhile Delhi Transport Undertaking (DTU) operated by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi until 2 November 1971. Delhi Transport Corporation which was under administrative control of the Indian government was transferred to the Government of National Capital Territory, Delhi.
