Animal Nutritionist

Duties and Responsibilities
- Appraise project proposals received from States/UTs and oversee fund release.
- Monitor physical progress of Government of India-funded projects.
- Handle feed and fodder matters including RTI Act 2005 queries, Parliament questions, and VIP/PMO references.
- Maintain close liaison with ICAR research institutes and other research bodies.
- Deal with feed quality control, incentives, feed industry support, plan coordination, and general coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
- Source: Officers under Central Government, State Governments, PSUs, Autonomous/Statutory Organisations, Agricultural Universities, or Recognised Research Institutions/Councils.
- Service Requirement (any one):
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
- With 2 years of regular service in Pay Level 8 (โน47,600 โ 1,51,100) [Pre-revised GP โน4,800] or equivalent; OR
- With 3 years of regular service in Pay Level 7 (โน44,900 โ 1,42,400) [Pre-revised GP โน4,600] or equivalent.
- Essential Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs Degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized university/institute.
- Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with specialization in animal nutrition from a recognized university/institute.
- Desirable Experience: 2 years of experience in Animal Nutrition and quality control of feed.
