Teacher (Foundational Stage)
Goa Samagra Shiksha (GSS), under the Directorate of Education, Goa, invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in-Interview for the post of Teacher (Foundational Stage) on a purely contract basis. A total of 78 vacancies are available across various blocks in Goa. Candidates with HSSC or equivalent, Diploma in ECCE/PPTT/D.El.Ed., or B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, along with one year of teaching or apprenticeship experience and knowledge of Konkani, are eligible. The Walk-in-Interview will be held on 04 September 2026 at the Directorate of Education, Alto Porvorim, Goa. The selected candidates will be engaged up to 31 March 2027 and receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹20,000.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- HSSC or equivalent certificate from a recognized board.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or Pre-Primary Teacher Education (PPTT) / D.El.Ed.
- OR B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education as per NEP-2020.
- OR Diploma in Special Education with valid RCI registration for inclusive classrooms.
Experience
- One year of teaching or apprenticeship experience.
Language
- Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable Qualification
- Four-year integrated B.Ed. (Foundational Stage) as per NCTE’s new framework.
- Master’s degree in Child Development, Psychology or Education.
