Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Invites Application for Consultant Recruitment 2022

Subject:- Engagement of one Consultant, on contract basis, against the vacancy of Assistant Director for Official Language Division in Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), New Delhi-regarding.

i. Applications are invited from Indian nationals in the prescribed proforma for engagement of one Consultant, on contract basis, against the vacancy of Assistant Director for Official Language Division, in Directorate General of Civil Aviation initially for a period of one year or till the Consultant attains the age of 65 years or till Consultant remains eligible as per requirements till the regular incumbent joins or until further orders, whichever is earlier

ii. For retired Government Servants monthly remuneration will be calculated as an amount equal to last pay drawn (basic pay) at the time of retirement minus basic pension (before commutation) or Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only), whichever is less. 3. The fixed monthly remuneration of the Consultant will be Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only).

4. Period of contract: Initially for a period of one year or till the Consultant attains the age of 65 years or till Consultant remains eligible as per requirement till the regular incumbent(s) join(s) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

5. Essential A

(i) Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a subject at a degree level OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a subject at a degree level  OR 

ii. Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as a subject at the degree level. OR

iii. Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level.

B. i. Three years’ experience of using or applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or viceversa, preferably for technical or scientific literature or three years of experience of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi or English.

6. Desirable:

i. Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of a recognized Board of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

ii. Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and viceversa from a recognized Institute or University or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and viceversa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India Undertaking

7. Job Profile of Consultant against the Vacancy of Assistant Director, OL Division:

a. Translation of Parliament Questions, Note for Supplementary, Annual Report and Office Orders etc Translation work from English to Hindi and vice-versa and vetting thereof.

b. To acquaint the officers and staff of the concerned department with the provisions of the O.L Act, Government rules& orders relating to official language and Hindi Training and to help them in implementing the same

c. To ensure proper compliance of the provisions of the Official Languages Act and the orders pertaining to Hindi Teaching Scheme and Official Language Policy in their department and subordinate offices, sections, companies and corporations etc

d. To make suggestions from time to time for promoting the progressive use of Hindi and to keep liaison with the Department of Official Language through proper channel.
