Educational Qualification & Experience:Typist/Typist-Copyist: 2nd PUC with typewriting qualifications. Process Server/Peon: SSLC. Ability to read and write Kannada is mandatory for all posts. No prior experience is required.
Skills:Typing (Kannada and English), proficiency in Kannada language, basic administrative skills (for Process Server and Peon).
Age Limit:Minimum 18 years. Maximum age: General (35 years), Category 2A/2B/3A/3B (38 years), SC/ST/Category-1 (40 years). A 5-year relaxation is applicable to all categories as per a specific government order. Further relaxations for widows, ex-servicemen, differently-abled, and government servants as per rules.
Salary (per month):
Typist/Typist-Copyist: ₹34,100 - ₹67,600; Process Server: ₹31,775 - ₹61,300; Peon/Servant: ₹27,000 - ₹46,675, plus allowances.
Selection Procedure:
- Typist & Typist-Copyist: 15-minute Typewriting Skill Test (100 marks, min 50 to qualify) → Interview for shortlisted candidates (1:5 ratio).
- Process Server: Merit list based on SSLC percentage → Interview (10 marks) in 1:25 ratio.
- Peon/Servant: Merit list based on SSLC percentage → Interview (10 marks) in 1:10 ratio.
Probation period of 2 years as per Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977.
Application Fee: General: ₹200; Category 2A/2B/3A/3B: ₹100; SC/ST/Category-1/Differently-Abled: Nil. Payment must be made online.

Ramanagara was earlier called as CLOSEPET. It was renamed as RAMANAGARA by the former Chief Minister of Karnataka State Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah. The architect, builder and mentor of the present Bengaluru City Sri Kempegowda is from Magadi Taluk of Ramanagara District. The Ramanagara district which was part of the Bangalore Rural district was bifurcated and reconstituted in the year 2007 with the District Head Quarters at Ramanagara Taluk along with three other taluks viz., Channapatna, Kanakapura and Magadi. It has 130 Grama Panchayats.
The Prl District and Sessions Court, Ramanagara was established on 1st October 2007 after the formation of New District of Ramanagara consequent on bifurcation of Bangalore Rural District in to Bangalore Rural and Ramanagara district . Earlier to formation of the District Court in Ramanagara there were Senior Civil Judge and CJM Court and Addl. Senior Civil Judge Court and Prl. Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) and JMFC Court at Ramanagara, later Addl. Civil Judge and JMFC was created in the year 2009. I Addl., II Addl. and III Addl. District & Sessions Courts got established in the year of 2013 in Ramanagara.
