Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for a post of Jr. Research Fellow (JRF) under SERB (DS T), Govt. of India funded research project entitled "Investigating role of phenotypic plasticity in heat and drought combination stress tolerance in rice (Oryza saliva L.)" at RPCAU, Pusa for an initial period of one year purely on contractual and temporary basis. 1. Name of the Post: JRF 2. No of Post: 01 3. Monthly emoluments: 31, 000 + 8% HRA (First two years) and 35,000 + 8 0/0 HRA (For 3 rd Year) 4. Essential: Master's in Plant Physiology/ Crop Physiology/Agronomy/Plant Molecular Biology/Any Discipline of Life Science with minimum 55% marks. 5. Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates with NET and having knowledge of crop phenotyping, biochemical enzyme assays and gene expression analysis.

Selection Procedure
1. The PI reserves the right to shortlist suitable candidates. Only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated by e-mail informing date of interview.
2. The shortlisted candidates will be informed by email for interview. NO TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates must bring original certificates along with their photocopies at the time of interview.

Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University was originally established as India's first ever Imperial Agriculture Research Institute.
The University was established on the 1st of April, 1905. What remained was downgraded to an agricultural research station until December 3, 1970, when the government of Bihar established Rajendra Agricultural University.
On 11 May 2016 Parliament of India passed the Central University Bill so that RAU, Pusa has been upgraded to central University and named as Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University.
There are 5 faculties in Rajendra Agricultural University Pusa, Bihar in the disciplines of Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Basic Sciences, Humanities & Home Science, besides the college of agriculture, fisheries and institute of dairy technology. The university offers undergraduate degree programmes, postgraduate programmes and eighteen PhD programmes. It is also the only university to provide an MBA in Agribusiness programme.
