Eligibility Criteria for DUVASU Faculty Recruitment 2026

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements as per the notification:

Professor

• For Veterinary Sciences: B.V.Sc & A.H., M.V.Sc in concerned subject, Ph.D., 10 years experience (2 years as Associate Professor). Registration with State Veterinary Council/VC1.
• For Fisheries Sciences: B.F.Sc (55% marks), M.F.Sc (55%), Ph.D., 10 years experience.
• For Dairy Sciences: Graduate in Dairy Technology/Life Science, Master's in Dairy Engineering/Chemistry/Microbiology etc., Ph.D., 10 years experience.

Associate Professor

• Similar qualifications as Professor but with 8 years experience as Assistant Professor/Scientist equivalent.

Assistant Professor

• B.V.Sc & A.H. / B.F.Sc / relevant bachelor's with 55% marks, Master's in concerned discipline with 55%, NET qualified (or Ph.D. with course work and publications as per UGC norms).

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get pay as per 7th Pay Commission (UGC/ICAR/State Government rules):

• Professor: Level 14 – ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 per month
• Associate Professor: Level 13A – ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100 per month
• Assistant Professor: Level 10 – ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 per month

Selection Process
