Offline applications are invited for the post of Director, Physical Education (Academic non-vacational post) on permanent basis.

5. Qualification:

a. A Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).

b. Record of having represented the University/ College at the inter-university/ inter collegiate competitions or the State and/ or nationalchampionship. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC,

c. CSIR or who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the "University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.

i. The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode.

ii. The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners.

iii. An open Ph.D. viva voice of the candidate has been conducted.

iv. The candidate has published two research papers form his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a referred journal.

v. The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conference/ seminars sponsored/ funded/ supported by the UGC/ICSSR/ CSIR or may similar agency.

Selection Procedure

Only short listed candidates who are found apparently eligible based on the details given in the application form will be called for an interview. The date of interview will be notified on the college website

Dyal Singh College, Delhi is a co-educational college of the University of Delhi. The college is one of the institutions of the University of Delhi. It was established in 1959 and is situated in Delhi. It offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in science, the humanities, and commerce. It is one of the top 10 colleges in India as announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The college is centrally located at Lodhi Road in South Delhi.

The college was established from the estate of Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, founder of The Tribune and Punjab National Bank, who willed his estate in 1895 for the establishment of an educational trust for a secular college. Consequently, Dyal Singh College was established at Lahore in 1910. After the Partition of India, Dyal Singh College was established in Karnal and Delhi. It started functioning in the capital as a constituent college of the University of Delhi in 1959 and was taken over by the University of Delhi as a university maintained institution in 1978.
