Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Classical Dance: Passed 12th or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks (50% condition not applicable to SC/ST/ESM/PwBD and candidates with higher qualification from UGC recognized university) OR Passed 10th plus ITI/NAC for Technician Grade-III in Level 2. Additionally, Degree/Diploma/Certificate in the respective dance discipline from a Government recognized university/institute.
- Drama (Acting/Direction): Same educational qualification as above. Additionally, Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Drama from a Government recognized university/institute.
- Cultural Qualification: Mandatory. Candidates having no cultural qualification need not apply.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in the applied discipline and performance on AIR/Doordarshan; awards/prizes at National Level.
- Age Limit: Reckoned as on 01.01.2027. UR & EWS: 18 to 30 years; OBC relaxation up to 3 years; SC/ST relaxation up to 5 years; other categories as per Para 6.0 sub-paras (i) to (v).
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Stage-I: Written Test (Objective type, 60 minutes, 50 marks). Minimum qualifying percentage is 40%.
- Stage-II: Assessment of Talent in Applied Discipline – Practical Demonstration (35 marks) and Testimonials/Prizes (15 marks). Minimum qualifying percentage is 40%.
- Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates called for Stage-II in the ratio of 1:3 of notified vacancy as per Stage-I merit order.
- Instruments: RRC-ER will not provide instruments for Stage II; candidates must bring their own essential instruments.
- Language: Candidates must choose either English or Hindi for the written test.
- TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in Stage-I or Stage-II.
