Educational Qualification:
Joint Director:
(A) (i) Master's Degree in Computer Applications or Master of Science (Computer Science or Information Technology) from a recognized University or Institute; or
(ii) Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology) from a recognized University or Institute. Eight years post qualification experience in one or more out of Database Management or Operating Systems or Network Systems of Programming or Information System in a Government Office including such experience in Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body or Statutory Body or in any recognized institution. OR
(B) (i) Degree in Computer Applications or Computer Science or Degree in Electronics or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University.
(ii) Eight years' experience in Electronic Data Processing out of which at least 1 year experience should be in actual Programming.

Deputy Director:
(A) Master's Degree in Computer Applications or Master of Science (Computer Science or Information Technology) from a recognized University or Institute; or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology) from a recognized University or Institute. Five years post qualification experience in relevant areas* of Programming or Information System in a Government Office including such experience in Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body or Statutory Body or in any recognized institution. *relevant areas mean one or more out of Database Management or Operating Systems or Network Systems OR

(ii) Three years post qualification experience in relevant areas of programming or Information System in a Government Office including such experience in Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body or Statutory Body or in any recognized Institutions. *Relevant areas means one or more out of Database Management or Operating Systems or Network Systems. OR

Selection Procedure: The selection process is based on a merit rank/ written test/ screening test/ oral interview.

EPFO is one of the World's largest Social Security Organisations in terms of clientele and the volume of financial transactions undertaken. At present it maintains 19.34 crore accounts (Annual Report 2016-17) pertaining to its members.
The Employees' Provident Fund came into existence with the promulgation of the Employees' Provident Funds Ordinance on the 15th November, 1951. It was replaced by the Employees' Provident Funds Act, 1952. The Employees' Provident Funds Bill was introduced in the Parliament as Bill Number 15 of the year 1952 as a Bill to provide for the institution of provident funds for employees in factories and other establishments. The Act is now referred as the Employees' Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 which extends to the whole of India. The Act and Schemes framed there under are administered by a tri-partite Board known as the Central Board of Trustees, Employees' Provident Fund,consisting of representatives of Government (Both Central and State), Employers, and Employees.

Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) was established on 4th March 1952. Its headquarters is located at New Delhi. EPFO administers a compulsory contributory Provident Fund Scheme, Pension Scheme and an Insurance Scheme. Employees Provident Fund Organisation has the dual role of being the enforcement agency to oversee the implementation of the EPF& MP Act and as a service provider for the covered beneficiaries in India.
