• Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject, 3 years as Associate Professor, research publications, Basic Course in Biomedical Research.
• Associate Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject, 4 years as Assistant Professor (or 5 years for direct appointment), research publications.
• Assistant Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject, 1 year as Senior Resident or equivalent.
• Senior Resident: MD/MS in concerned subject.
• Non-medical Candidates: M.Sc and PhD in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology (as per NMC norms).
