Educational Qualification: DNB, MS/MD

a) Employees’ State Insurance Corporation which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, invites application for immediate engagement of Teaching Faculty in the post of Assistant Professor in ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka, initially for one year, extendable on yearly basis for a total period of 3 years, including initial one year.

b) This yearly extension will be subject to satisfactory performance the incumbent would serve the initial first year of contract, independent of regular faculty joining during this period. However, the contract would be terminable on one month notice, on joining of regular faculty in the subsequent years of contract or attaining the age of 70, whichever is earlier.

3. Educational & Other Qualification: 

A) Essential for Medical Candidates

(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act);and

(ii) A post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or (MS) Master of Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

B) Experience: 

i. For the candidates possessing MD/MS degree from MCI recognized medical college:

a) Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post graduation course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject.

b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/Permitted medical college.

c) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required .

ii. Equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad specialties) with MD/MS:

a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in an institution which now run MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject, their DNB qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualifications that subject only.

b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/Permitted medical college.

c) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required.

iii. Additional training of one year for equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad Specialties) with MD/MS:

a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in broad specialties in hospital/ institution other than mentioned in (ii) above, shall undergo one additional year of senior residency or equivalent training or research job in a MCI recognized hospital/ institution, provided such qualifications are notified in the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations 2000”.

b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/Permitted medical college.

C) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required.
