Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), a premier Mini Ratna Category-I Defence Shipyard under the Ministry of Defence, has released a notification for the recruitment of Officers in various disciplines. This is a significant opportunity for experienced professionals to join a leading defence public sector undertaking involved in building sophisticated warships.

Eligibility for Executive Director (E-9)

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 26 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management. Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of CGM Grade (E-8) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Chief General Manager (E-8)

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 24 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management. Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of GM Grade (E-7) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for General Manager (E-7)

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture. MBA/ PG Degree/ PG Diploma in Material Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management/ Operations Management is preferable.
• Experience: 22 years’ post qualification experience in Material Management/ Procurement/ Supply Chain OR Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management. Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of AGM Grade (E-6) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Additional General Manager (E-6) - Technical

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 20 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management. Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of DGM Grade (E-5) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Additional General Manager (E-6) - Regional Office (Delhi)

• Essential Qualification: Full Time Graduate in any discipline.
• Experience: 20 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Ship operations/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ liaison with Armed Forces/ Coast Guard Headquarters/ Offices, various Ministries/ Departments under Govt. of India. Preference for candidates with experience in steering international Defence cooperation.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of DGM Grade (E-5) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Deputy General Manager (E-5)

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 15 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management. Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of SM Grade (E-4) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Senior Manager (E-4) - Technical

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 11 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management.
• Desirable: Candidates possessing Master Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline with 09 years’ experience.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of Manager Grade (E-3) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Senior Manager (E-4) - Admin

• Essential Qualification: Full Time Graduate with 02 years full time MBA / PG Degree/ PG Diploma in Hospitality Management/ Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management.
• Experience: 11 years’ post qualification experience in General Administration / Corporate Event Management/ Operation of Guest House or Hotels or Canteen or Cafeteria in any Govt. organization/ Private Establishment.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of Manager Grade (E-3) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Senior Manager (E-4) - Company Secretary

• Essential Qualification: Associate/ Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
• Experience: 11 years’ post qualification experience (with at least 3 years in a listed Company) in handling Corporate Secretarial matters (Board meetings, compliance, Company Law, SEBI regulations, M&A, etc.).
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of Manager Grade (E-3) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Manager (E-3) - Finance

• Essential Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) OR Cost & Management Accountant (CMA).
• Experience: 08 years’ post qualification experience in Budgeting/ Costing/ Banking/ Taxation/ Finalisation of accounts/ Audit Related matters/ Financial Concurrence in procurements/ Compliance matters related to Finance.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of DM Grade (E-2) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Manager (E-3) - IT

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering OR Full time Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Experience: 08 years’ post qualification hands-on experience in a) In-depth Functional and technical experience in SAP Modules (MM, FICO, SD, PP, PS, PM, BASIS) OR b) System Administration in Unix Platform.
• Desirable: Candidates possessing Master Degree in Engineering with 06 years’ experience.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of DM Grade (E-2) for min 2 years.

Eligibility for Manager (E-3) - Technical

• Essential Qualification: Four years full time degree in Engineering or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering/ Civil/ Production/ Naval Architecture.
• Experience: 08 years’ post qualification experience in Ship building/ Ship design/ Ship repair/ Overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships or Submarines/ Commercial Vessels/ Product Design or Production or Planning or Project Management.
• Desirable: Candidates possessing Master Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline with 06 years’ experience.
• Note: Candidates from Govt./PSU/Autonomous organizations should have 2 years’ experience in immediate lower grade; private sector candidates should draw comparable CTC of DM Grade (E-2) for min 2 years.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the performance of candidates in the Interview. The candidate must possess the requisite qualification and experience as on 01 December 2025. The management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards.
