Veterinary Officer and Various Posts

Educational Qualification:
Deputy Director (Technical): Official holding analogous post under Central/State Government/Union Territory Administrative/Public Sector Undertaking/Corporation/Autonomous Body/Statutory Body/recognized Institution.

Curator(Collection): An Official holding analogous post on regular basis under Central/State Government/Union Territory Administration.

Veterinary Officer:
(i) Recognised Veterinary qualification included in the First or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984) and registered with a Goa State Veterinary Council.
(ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Assistant Professor:
(i) Masters degree in Optometry from a recognised University.
(ii) Minimum three years teaching experience in concerned speciality.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Associate Professor:
(i) Master’s Degree in Optometry/ Master of Philosophy in Optometry (M.Phil) from a recognized University.
(ii) Five years teaching Experience in concerned speciality as Assistant Professor/Lecturer.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable:
(i) Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Optometry from an University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
(ii) Independent published work of high standard.
(iii) Knowledge of Marathi.

Junior Radiologist:
(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned.
(iii) In case of Diploma holders, Work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after postgraduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

Programme Officer:
(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Five years experience in administration management of training programmes.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon:
(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First and Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-graduate degree in the speciality concerned.
(iii) Three years work in a responsible position concerned with their speciality after post-graduation degree.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

About Goa Public Service Commission

The Goa Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of India. The Commission advises the Government on all matters relating to State Civil Services referred to it under Article 320 (3) of the Constitution.

The requisitions from the Government are received in the form of proposals indicating number of vacancies in a particular post in a department or cadre and the mode of filling up the vacancies. The mode of filling up the posts is either by direct recruitment inviting applications from the open market or by way of promotion from lower grades which are called feeder grades. The recruitment is strictly governed and guided by Recruitment Rules framed by the Government under Article 309 of the Constitution under the advice from the Commission. In case of direct recruitment the Commission publishes advertisement, notifies the number of vacancies with requirements of essential qualifications and experience as per the Recruitment Rules.
